FAQ

Q. Since this is the LG NOVA Proto Challenge, does that mean that I need to have a working prototype in place when I submit a response?

A. No, you do not. The title is reflective of LG’s interest in finding potential new collaboration partners with which to grow business within the start-up community and not an indication of minimum technical maturity for proposed technologies.

Q. My solution doesn’t fit within LG’s product offerings. Can I still respond?

A. Yes. LG is interested in establishing connections with new startups that have the potential for the creation of new business initiatives with LG.

Q. Who will evaluate responses?

A. All eligible responses will be reviewed by a team of LG experts from a diverse range of departments to ensure that the respondents recognized by this challenge fit within the goals and mission of LG.

Q. Are international respondents welcome?

A. Yes, LG welcomes and encourages responses from all over the world.

Q. Do I have to be over the age of 18 to submit a response?

A. Yes, all respondents must be at least 18 years of age in order to respond. For entrepreneurs under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to submit a response on your behalf.

Q. Am I giving any intellectual property to LG when I submit a response?

A. No. All submitted information must be non-confidential and non-proprietary in nature. Furthermore, accepting an award does not obligate you to surrender any IP to LG.

Q. Does my approach have to incorporate existing LG technology in order to win?

A. No. You are not required to use LG technology in your approach.

Q: If I’m selected for the pitch event in August, can I choose which date I present?

A: While scheduling requests for the pitch event are welcome, please be aware that TCV and LG NOVA may not be able to accommodate all requests.
